Project summary
"Far Above Rubies Bible Camp" is a week long girls camp in New England that focuses on Bible study, prayer, fellowship and fun. It is a camp that I really wanted to help with. Since I wasn't able to attend during the week as a counselor, I volunteered to help with their camp t-shirt design back in 2013 and have had the honor to continue to design the new shirt for each year since!
Camp T-shirt: Each year in the Spring, the camp’s director provides me with the upcoming year’s theme Bible verse and gives me complete design freedom, with the only restrictions being it need to be a single color. It’s very satisfying (and challenging) to see how by only using typography and one color a verse can visually come alive. I always try to manipulate the type in such a way that will also help illustrate what the verse is saying.
Promotional Materials: In addition to the annual camp t-shirt design, I have helped with designing some promotional materials for FAR Camp and also redesigned their website with Wordpress.
